Hello I work for Crowd Supply and I have been given a box of assembled EOMA68
boards. Most are in the office but I have a couple on my workbench at home right now. I am not fully up-to-date with the history of this project but I would like to do what I can to get these boards sent out. As I understand it, they have not yet been tested with Linux.
that's massively incorrect. several versions of linux were installed and tested back in 2016. at least five OSes, plus initramfs's with barebones additional commands (a trick i learned from when i was doing HTC smartphone reverse-engineering)
What is the status of this project?
it is, always has been, and will remain a community project where i expect the community - not myself with no funds - to take action.
Do you have a disk image?
absolutely not. hosting of "images" is a major security risk and requires vast resources far beyond the meagre amounts of money available.
there are however extensive build instructions to developers, on the wiki.
Do you want to/ should I tell people on the mailing list?
all communication as a public FOSS project should be public and never to me personally, it has *always* been a given for the entire duration of this project that the very first thought you or anyone should have is to contact the mailing list, *not* myself, personally, directly, and certainly not privately [should be obvious what the exceptions to that are: admin, backers addresses and telephone numbers etc].
Let me know your thoughts.
i am so sorry to have to inform you that my ex-parter was a narcissist, embezzling money systematically, and her abuse caused me to develop chronic adrenal fatigue syndrome that resulted in me having at least two strokes. i had to report her to the police (twice) after fleeing for my life last year. she lied under caution when interviewed on the first assault: the second is still under investigation.
in addition to that my former business colleagues turned out to be psychopathic, and by manipulating my family members and much more i ended up being assaulted, injured and almost killed by staff at a psychiatric "hospital" through neglect, forced-poisoning, and abuse. i have reported both to the police.
as if that was not enough, i have been forced into the position of interacting with the UK NHS for the very first time in my life aged 54, which due to autism has gone so catastrophically badly that i am now up to a total of *EIGHT* abusive doctors to report to the General Medical Council to assess their fitness to practice medicine, and have the GMC's support to provide them with the meticulous documented evidence of abuse.
in addition to that, NLnet has *also* been abusive, violating the Dutch Constitution, and has terminated funding. i am reporting them to the Dutch Equality Commission and when i am ready to do so (it is extremely risky for me, health-wise) i will be calling the police to report them for Defamation and Libel (criminal offenses in the Netherlands).
i am now focussed exclusively on staying alive, and carrying out health research in order to recover.
if i receive additional funds i can still run a team of people, however i will need help even finding that team, as i am in absolutely no health position whatsoever to go running around doing the work normally carried out by eight to ten people, as i used to do and a considerable number of backers assumed there was, all the time.

w0wza, Luke, sounds like you've been given Satan's own personal handbasket-ride tour of Hell itself. I thought *I* had it bad -- here in the US I'm being bounced from doctor to doctor and while they're not overtly malicious, they sure as balls aren't giving me diagnoses or treatment, either. You have my sympathies -- and my regret that sympathy is all I can offer by way of assistance.
I'm glad to hear you're still alive despite being put through all of that. I'm not sure I'd have that kind of fury in me. I'm just not made like that. I melt into a puddle of self-accusation much more easily then I take on the whole "I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE AND I BRING YOU -- fire [...]" kind of persona.
Hey, take care of yourself, OK? Good luck out there.

Oh geez. Well, do what you need to do to stay on the ambulatory side of a coffin, OK?

Dear Helen, I did some testing with a prototype board. I should have a working image somewhere on my hard drive. Could you please read this thread in the mailing list archive and tell me if you think I can be of any help:

Hi Helen,
An other way to answer about the status of this project, from my low tech level point of view, I would say that this projet is strongly supported since the begining, at least by me :) and others who are more quieter. With all my encouragement !
