3D acceleration working with Ubuntu 13.04 for EOMA68-A20 (and Cubieboard2):
http://www.gplsquared.com/eoma_boot/eoma_boot.html#Ubunt_13_04_3D
Functions more and more like a real PC now.
Kicad also got installed and it is reasonably usable. So use that to design your next EOMA application PCBs :)
Also installed were xfce4, lxde and openbox window managers. Gambas installed from sources.
The sound works through jack socket (hdmi sound - nothing as yet although it is known to work through booting up Android), and espeak works. So you could send it commands through serial port for example software, let gambas serial port program read the text and then the machine can be made talk back by gambas calling espeak. : I used it for the embedded work - instead of reading reams of logs, it puts important data out as text embedded inside <s>..things to say...</s> brackets and I filter for that with a gambas program and get the most relevant points read back out. NICE!!!
When you first log in, a 3D animation runs if its all working.

Snap!
I'm getting ready to ditch 2 PCs.
Also delivered one working sample PC with 80GB SATA disk to my boss on Friday.
Any ideas on timescales for next production run of the 2.5k units?

Get on IRC and check your messages. :)
I got fed up of waiting for my 100 x PCMCIA connectors to turn up, so I order from alternative sources 50 x PCMCIA, 50 ethernet, 50 x 7 pin sata connectors, 50 x 16 pin mSata connectors an 50 x 22 pin Sata sockets.
Should be able to build different boards that take eoma and sata 2.5"+3.5" and also 1.8" etc. Loitering while EOMA and 3D Desktop Linux is already working is a bit of a luser's game.

The seller admits he didn't send it finally today on the last day before it turns into some sinister fine from Aliexpress.
Still continues to advertise as if it is in stock!!!
What a waste - its going to trap more people.
