I believe that Luke's antipathy towards me is a result of me asking repayment of a loan that I had given to him to tide him over until he received payment from NLnet. He was paid by NLnet but refused to repay the loan.
Luke, Alain was simply bringing up the matter as a concern, as anyone would normally do. I'd've done the same, if the debt were owed to me. It's a thing people do when that happens, and stuff comes up about that later. If I may respectfully submit, now is neither the time nor the place for another feud. You yourself know how much damage has been done to you already. Turning yet another friend into an enemy -- and I can tell Alain cares about you still and wants to remain your friend, at least for now -- over yet another perceived wrong, is not something you want to do right now. You need to focus on your healing. You can work things out with Alain later.

Luke, it is very conspicuous that you have not yet addressed this, but have posted other threads elsewhere. You know I don't presume to put words in others' mouths unless I think there's a very high chance we're speaking in unity -- I cannot *imagine* that it would not be the will of all of us that you would address this. Simply letting it go unanswered and unaddressed, even in these circumstances, would be a major and significant failure of leadership. You're the one who opened this can of worms, only you can close it.
You don't have to say much. Explanations and justifications can wait. I think if you just promise to leave Alain alone -- or at least to not feud with him -- for now, that'd be enough, and one or two sentences is all you'd need for that. To state the obvious, you could *technically* say a lot of other stuff, but... I *really* don't think that's a good idea right now.
Please just put this one to bed, OK?
