what about a standard for categorising the different cards based on there computer resources/speed. like sd cards classes.
ok, there is only one shot at that, and it's by using the difference between the 5.0mm and the 3.3mm heights. i want to reserve that for the RGB/TTL output resolution.
so, 5.0mm CPU Cards (which will NOT fit into a 3.3mm slot) shall be 720p (maximum resolution of 1280x800)
3.3mm CPU Cards (which will fit into BOTH 5.0mm and 3.3mm slots) shall support up to 1080p (maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080).
this still obeys the "slot it in, it will work" sales pitch... which is a slight lie, because it is actually "*if* it fits in the slot, it will work".
i'm not willing to push the luck any further than that, however.
speed classes 1, 2, 3, 4 .... that is *way* out of the "if it fits, it will work" sales pitch. it's far too complex for the average person to comprehend, far too complex a sales pitch.
the sales pitch should LITERALLY be "you get what you pay for, here are the options ($20 to $100), but all of them work".
it will be the salesman's job to sell the end-user faster versions with more memory, faster interfaces etc.
