How are you going to connect the microSD (using the GPIO of the
EOMA-68

correct.  6 GPIO pins are now multiplexed to SDMMC.

 that would be daft, fanning out 50mhz 4-wire parallel SD/MMC onto a 4mbit/sec serial interface :)
